I didn't know about firejail up to now, but this small guide on how to use it to sandbox ffmpeg on Linux seems like useful #mastoadmin advice: https://serenitylabs.cloud/using-firejail-to-sandbox-ffmpeg-in-mastodon
I'm not happy with how the Wil Wheaton situation was resolved. An admin was overwhelmed with frivolous reports about him and felt forced to exile him. I've said before that I think it sets a dangerous precedent on how a large group of people can mobilize to drive anyone off the fediverse. Mob rule is universally dangerous: Mods and admins must examine evidence and decide based on wrongdoing and danger, and not on how many times someone was reported.
Wil Wheatons Mastodon-Account wurde von seinen Instanz-Admins suspended:

Sysadmin reminder: 11 october is the #DNS root key rollover. Brace yourself and check *today* that the DNS resolver you manage knows both keys, 19036 (the old) and 20326 (the new) https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/ksk-rollover-expect-22aug18-en.pdf #DNSSEC
If you see two or more #Amaroq apps on the store, the one that has the most release history is the real one. 👍 Look for the doggo 🐺
If you accidentally downloaded a scam version, I cannot guarantee what it’s doing under the hood. I suggest revoking access to the app *immediately*.
